First introduced in the mid-1950s, the legendary Nivada Grenchen Antarctic watch gained renown for its pivotal role in the 1955/56 Operation Deep Freeze 1 expedition to the South Pole. Paying homage to this iconic model, the Ace Jewelers Super Antarctic Polar II honors Nivada Grenchen's flagship timepiece, recognizing its indispensable role in polar exploration. Seamlessly fusing Nivada Grenchen's craftsmanship with Ace Jewelers' discerning taste and expertise in watch curation, this timepiece embodies both the frosty allure of polar landscapes and a sincere tribute to a timeless classic.

Inspired by the ethereal beauty of polar regions, the Polar II boasts a pristine white dial reminiscent of ice-covered vistas. In an exciting update, the new edition features a light blue seconds hand, replacing the vibrant orange of its predecessor. It introduces a touch of sophistication, symbolizing the icy waters of polar seas.  This subtle yet captivating change instantly transforms the watch's appearance, especially when paired with the complementary MN-style strap in matching hues, deepening its connection to the tranquil expanses of polar landscapes.

We where quite overwhelmed with the success of our first collaboration with Nivada, the Super Antarctic Polar", says Alon Ben Joseph, CEO of Ace Jewelers. “At just 50 pieces produced, the demand for that watch far exceeded the number of pieces available! We wanted to create something for those who missed out. Similar, but different. The Polar II is indeed that. A small change with a big impact. And at only 25 pieces, it's even more limited than the first version".

The Ace x Nivada Grenchen Super Antarctic Polar II draws inspiration from the Super Antarctic 32025A template. Departing from the standard production version's matte black with white print, this unique edition embraces its polar opposite: a clean, matte white background adorned with contrasting black print. The new light blue seconds hand introduces a fresh perspective, aligning the watch more closely with the tranquil beauty and expansive icy landscapes of the polar regions. The move to a light blue hand signifies a broader homage to the global significance of polar exploration and the natural beauty of these remote regions, emphasizing a universal appeal.
