Atelier de Chronométrie AdC22 and the new in-house calibre M284

Atelier de Chronométrie presents the M284 (prototype), the first in-house time only calibre with a classic timeless look in line with the brand’s DNA.

The AdC22, the first time only with the new in-house calibre M284 (prototype)

All the AdC timepieces are unique and each one has its own story behind it, but the AdC22 is something extra special because it is the first example to be assembled with the new in-house calibre M284 and it marks an important milestone in our evolution. The AdC22 is presented in a stainless steel Calatrava case design with a very original dial where the combination of salmon and silver creates a two-tone effect that combines harmonically with the original applied circular indexes.

Since 2014, Atelier de Chronométrie has always had in mind the possibility of creating its own calibre. Throughout all these years we have created amazing projects and unique timepieces with unique stories behind them and we are very happy with the achieved result. At the same time, we also knew that, at some point, the creation of timepieces with movements, using existing calibres as a base, will restrict our creativity. This fact has strengthened our determination in the last few years to make a step forward and to create a personal movement totally aligned with our DNA. The result is the new calibre M284.

For the development of this new calibre our team has relied on the help of our friend Luca Soprana who has a wide experience as a constructor and with whom we shared the same vision of watchmaking. We thought that, to achieve such a project, his advice would be the best. The result is a dream come true for us, the M284. A calibre with a timeless design that evokes the past with an architecture inspired by the calibres of the 40’s from the last century, such as the old Genève Observatoire Chronomèters, where challenges, skills and passion were essentials parts in watchmaking.

Movement
