Bremont Broadsword Recon Bronze Limited Edition
Bremont is proud to unveil the Broadsword Recon Bronze, following the launch of the original Broadsword Recon limited edition that was issued and sold out immediately in 2023. A contemporary take on the iconic ‘Dirty Dozen’ watches, this new iteration features a stunning bronze case construction. Limited to 100 pieces, this exclusive timepiece is built on the foundations of our longstanding partnership with the United Kingdom’s Ministry of Defence.
The Broadsword Recon Bronze pays homage to the iconic ‘Dirty Dozen’ watches, a series of timepieces commissioned for the British Army during World War Two when Britain’s Ministry of Defence required watches to issue to military personnel.
The new model features a two-piece 40mm solid bronze alloy case, meaning that, due to the nature of the ‘living’ metal, each model will develop its own unique patina over time – no two watches will ever look the same.
The dial displays central hour and minute functions with running seconds at 6 o’clock and a date function at 3 o’clock. The matte black sandwich dial construction maximises legibility with its layered design, enhanced with green-emission Super-LumiNova® numerals and framed by gloss black edges, creating a striking visual depth.
The Broadsword Recon Bronze houses the chronometer-rated BE-95-2AV movement and is complemented by a black sailcloth strap with bronze pin buckle, enhancing the military-inspired aesthetic whilst offering ultimate functionality.
Bremont’s official partnership with the Ministry of Defence pays tribute to His Majesty’s Armed Forces. As the sole luxury watch brand permitted to use the signs, symbols, and heraldic badges of all three services: the Royal Navy, British Army, and Royal Air Force, the case back is stamped with the badges of all three services and states ‘Approved by Her Majesty’s Armed Forces’, given that this timepiece was designed and approved by His Majesty’s Armed Forces before the new crests have been decreed. Once the crests are decreed all case backs within Bremont’s Armes Forces Collection will be updated accordingly.
The Armed Forces Collection, comprising the Argonaut, Broadsword, and Arrow, offers the civilian market authentic, fit-for-purpose militaryinspired timepieces.
