Chopard Alpine Eagle Cadence 8 Hertz “Art in Time Edition”

ART in TIME & Chopard did it again ! For the second time, a limited edition of 8 pieces have been crafter exclusively for ART in TIME. After the “recto” version with a green dial, orange markers and orange hand for the seconds, ART in TIME is releasing the “verso” version with opposite colour combination : orange dial, green markers, green hand for seconds.

Orange is a vibrant color. It communicates fun, creativity, optimism, and playfulness. While you often stopped to catch the sunset simply to admire the orange gradient sky, you will spend time admiring this dial and you will get this feeling of warmth and happiness.

An eagle eye and high-frequency watchmaking. The comfort of titanium and the strength of an elegant chronometer. Chopard combines precision, style and sportiness in the Alpine Eagle Cadence 8 HF model. Produced as a limited edition of just 8 timepieces, numbered individually from 1/8 to 8/8, this exceptional 41 mm-diameter watch houses one of the most advanced movements from Chopard’s workshops. Indeed, the Chopard Caliber 01.12-C featuring a high-frequency escapement reaches its cruising altitude at 57,600 vibrations per hour (8 Hz).

Entirely developed, produced and assembled in the Chopard watchmaking workshops, and chronometer-certified by the COSC, the self-winding mechanical Chopard 01.12-C movement beats to a frequency of 57,600 vibrations per hour (8 Hz) thanks to its silicium escapement. It features a power reserve of 60 hours for just 4.95 mm of thickness. With a system that prevents the seconds hand from trembling, this movement is wound thanks to a central oscillating mass in tungsten.

About ART IN TIME

ART IN TIME is based on a unique concept in watchmaking: bringing together niche brands on the basis of their common values rather than their types of watch, ranges, or similar styles. In addition to these values, the houses in question all share the same founding inspiration, characterised by independence, creativity, and exclusivity.

The ethos of Chronométrie Ferdinand Berthoud, just like that of Chopard, is rooted in a respect for Fine Watchmaking; as custodians of this heritagewe seek to promote its values,” explains Chronométrie Ferdinand Berthoud’s CEO Karl-Friedrich Scheufele. “The maisons in ART IN TIME are all motivated by the same deeply-held convictions, each in their own distinctive fashion.”

Brought together under the banner of ART IN TIME by their shared passion for craftsmanship, each of these watchmaking houses has its own well-defined identity, under the leadership of genuine entrepreneurs whose contemporary creations are strictly confined to select limited editions. Every year, these rare watches emerge from the workshops of the maisons in question – themselves among the most innovative and outstanding in the world of Fine Watchmaking. Typically, the singular nature of the pieces resides in a renewed approach to the way the time is displayed, the construction of the movement, or a ground-breaking design for the case, setting them apart from more conventional timepieces.
