Chronoswiss Opus Chronograph Dakar

From dunes to dial - mechanical endurance in earth tones. 30 years of Chronoswiss skeleton chronograph mastery.

As the Chronoswiss Opus turns 30, the journey continues - now into the vast stillness and golden heat of the desert. Introducing the Opus Dakar: a tribute to mechanical resilience, elemental beauty, and the stripped-back aesthetic of earth and light. Its name is inspired by the warm tonal palette of the region - grounded, enduring, and quietly powerful. The Opus Dakar stands for timekeeping in rhythm, in silence, in raw mechanical clarity.

Desert-born design

The Opus Dakar is housed in a 41mm Grade 5 titanium case - light, pure, and purpose-built. Its skeletonized CVD-coated brown dial radiates warmth, while the open mechanics beneath cast shifting shadows and subtle depth. Paired with a sand-colored nubuck leather strap, the composition reflects the spirit of the desert - sun-soaked, sophisticated, and rich in texture. This is not a watch that shouts. It resonates - like heat rising off stone, like time echoing in silence.

A mechanical heart, fully exposed

Inside beats the Chronoswiss C.741S automatic chronograph caliber, finished in galvanic black and fully skeletonized. Every element is on display: Central seconds, 30-minute and 12-hour counters, analogue date, and small seconds - all arranged within the iconic 3D openworked layout.

The Opus Dakar preserves the design DNA that made the original 1995 Opus a horological breakthrough - while refining it through modern materials and a tactile sense of restraint. The signature onion crown, knurled bezel, and architectural skeleton movement remains - reimagined in warm tones and natural contrast.

A celebration in motion

Part of the 30th Anniversary Collection of the Opus, the Dakar edition is not a revival - it’s an evolution. A mechanical statement shaped by the elements. A chapter in a legacy that continues to challenge how time is seen, worn, and understood.
