Chronoswiss Space Timer Gravity

With the Space Timer Gravity, Chronoswiss continues its fascination with the cosmos, not as distant spectacle, but as something tangible, textured, and alive on the wrist. This latest chapter in the Space Timer collection explores one of the universe’s most powerful forces: Gravity itself. Invisible, relentless, shaping everything we see.

The Space Timer Gravity shares the same mechanical foundation as its predecessors, yet its dial tells an entirely new story. Here, space is not illustrated. It is constructed.

A dial shaped by light and matter

At first glance, the surface appears to shift before your eyes. The partially hand-guilloché dial is finished with a color-changing CVD-coating that moves between deep green and oceanic blue, depending on the light. It feels fluid, almost planetary, like an atmosphere seen from orbit.

On the left side, the moon emerges in striking detail. This is not a simple print – it is the result of of a sophisticated lasering process. Using advanced technology based on an original NASA photograph from outer space, Chronoswiss recreates the rugged surface of the moon landscape with remarkable depth. The result is a subtle three-dimensional texture that invites closer inspection, like tracing craters through a telescope.

Suspended above this terrain are transparent hour and date rings crafted from ITR2, a high-end composite known for its lightness and resilience. They seem to float, orbiting the dial without interrupting its flow. Beneath them, the exposed gear train is framed by a baby blue bridge that echoes the same hue as the sweeping seconds hand, adding a crisp, contemporary contrast to the cosmic scene.

The entire composition feels architectural yet organic, mechanical yet celestial.

A case built for orbit

The 44 mm matte grey stainless steel case grounds the watch with quiet confidence. Its sophisticated finish allows the dial to take center stage while reinforcing the technical character of the piece.

Paired with a light grey nubuck leather strap, the Space Timer Gravity balances modern materiality with comfort and wearability. The tones are deliberate: cool, refined, and forward-looking.

The engine behind the cosmos

Inside beats the Chronoswiss Caliber C.308, a self-winding movement that powers the hours, minutes, date, and moonphase display with unwavering precision. Operating at 4 Hz and offering a 42-hour power reserve, it provides the steady rhythm behind the visual dynamism of the dial.

As with every Space Timer, mechanics are not hidden. They are revealed, integrated into the design as part of the narrative. The exposed elements beneath the transparent rings remind us, that gravity, like time, is both invisible and absolute.

A limited universe

The Space Timer Gravity is produced in a limited edition of 50 pieces. Each watch captures the interplay of light across its shifting dial, making every piece feel personal.

It is not simply a tribute to space. It is an exploration of forces that shape worlds and movements that shape time. With the Space Timer Gravity, Chronoswiss once again proves that modern mechanical watchmaking can reach far beyond the familiar.
