Frederique Constant “The Elements Collection”

The Manufacture reveals the timepieces included in its exclusive set which, this year, celebrates the watchmaker’s own vintage: 1988. For 2025, Frederique Constant is marking its 37th anniversary with a limited edition of 37 sets, comprised of only Manufacture pieces. Together, they embody the quintessence of what the brand now offers to its most discerning collectors.

The theme of the year? Minerals. Lapis lazuli, turquoise, heliotrope and onyx are set in the spotlight alongside a Perpetual Calendar Tourbillon with a burgundy dial, its generous openwork revealing the movement’s abundant minerality. Complete with a worldtimer, perpetual calendar and moonphase, “The Elements Collection” set of five watches will be offered to collectors during the last quarter of 2025.

Since its inception in 1988, Frederique Constant has been forging its own singular path through Genevan haute horlogerie. Originally 100% independent and family run, the workshop has evolved into a leading integrated manufacture, delivering for 37 years the same messages of fine craftsmanship and accessible luxury watchmaking.

Every year, the brand celebrates the milestone with an exclusive set. For 2025, a limited edition of 37 gift sets has been made to mark 37 years of horological passion and the Frederique Constant craft. A set for history, dedicated to discerning collectors hoping to capture – at a given moment – the rarest and most exceptional pieces from the Genevan manufacture.

For this new vintage, Frederique Constant wanted to set on equal footing the technical and the aesthetic. The 2025 edition offers a collection of high-level complications, all designed in-house. These include its renowned perpetual calendar, worldtimer and tourbillon which, both ingenious and accessible, made a lasting impression with their release.

For these five pieces, Frederique Constant jumped all the way in, basing its work almost exclusively on the use of mineral dials. Its desire is twofold. Firstly, to meet the demand of collectors who, for some years now, have expressed a growing appetite for these fine and richly coloured materials.

Secondly, to bring out the originality of each piece and, subsequently, each set. As each mineral is cut by hand from a unique and entirely natural stone, no two dials are ever the same. While the five references are part of a limited series, they are all effectively one of a kind.

Classic Moonphase Date Manufacture

It has been said that watchmaking is the daughter of astronomy, and the Classic Moonphase Date Manufacture is a testament to that. Understated and refined with a steel 40-millimetre case, it tells the time with an astral patience. A date indication sits at six o’clock with a moonphase nestled poetically inside its circumference.

The FC-716 in-house calibre brings the piece to life, equipped with its brand-new power reserve lasting 72 hours (three full days). Following this reference, there will only be 716 made (according to the same principle: offered exclusively in 2025 as part of The Elements, and the rest in 2026).

For the first time in the manufacture’s history, this model features turquoise. The stone is unique in its black mineral fibres, which run through it to create marmoreal accents. Its minimalist dial has only indices and finely polished dauphine hands, freeing up the surface to let the stone express itself unreservedly. The Classic Moonphase Date Manufacture is radiant, rare, sophisticated and perfectly unisex.

Classic Worldtimer Manufacture: Travel Through Time

Developed by Frederique Constant in 2012, the Worldtimer was an instant favourite among collectors for its simplicity. The 24 major cities encircling its dial are effortless to read. Its day-night indicator is calibrated over 24 hours, with day and night separated naturally into two sections: one dark and one light. Finally, the FC-718 manufacture calibre is adjusted using only its single crown with neither pushers nor correctors. Its 42-millimetre case, made of steel, preserves the purity of its lines and the timelessness of its elegance.

For The Elements, the timepiece is offered with lapis lazuli on both the main part of the dial and the offset date display at six o’clock. Every shade of its blue sings in harmony, like a celestial canopy that calls you to new horizons – the very raison d’être of the Worldtimer.

The Classic Worldtimer Manufacture, on a matching blue alligator bracelet, will be offered exclusively as part of The Elements set then presented at retail during the first quarter of 2026 (718 pieces in total).

Classic Perpetual Calendar Manufacture

The Classic Perpetual Calendar Manufacture is a one-of-a-kind design with a heliotrope dial. Until very recently, it was especially rare for this mineral to be used in watchmaking. Heliotrope belongs to the oxides class. As a result, it contains high traces of aluminium, iron and potassium. Each of these leaves a multitude of graceful inclusions at the heart of the stone. It can sometimes contain flecks of black, pale or dark green, and even red. Each fragment is unique, constituting a mineral patchwork with impressive aesthetic vivacity.

Against this palette, Frederique Constant deploys its renowned perpetual calendar. In 2016, this elite complication – requiring the most exacting watchmaking expertise – was made available to the widest possible audience. Almost ten years after its release, the Classic Perpetual Calendar Manufacture remains the most affordable of its Swiss Made counterparts. The variant proposed in The Elements set, however, lends it a delightful rarity. Contrary to the two previous calibres, the timepiece will only be offered in the 2025 set, meaning only 37 exist.

Made of steel, a material popular with collectors, the 40-millimetre case holds a dial whose tricompax day/month/date display is a model of legibility. The leap year indication, a more secondary detail, sits discreetly in the month counter. The moonphase completes the composition at six o’clock and reveals a glimpse of the handmade cut-out in the heliotrope. A sapphire caseback offers an intimate look at its FC-776 calibre, decorated with perlage and côtes de Genève stripes. Its three-day (72 hours) power reserve can also be seen.

Classic Tourbillon Manufacture

For the Classic Tourbillon Manufacture, Frederique Constant dreamt up a dramatically pared-back design with a black onyx dial.

A flawless expanse, it strikes a sophisticated contrast with its indices and finely polished hands. Pure and intense, the surface provides a careful backdrop to leave the gaze free to focus on the manufacture tourbillon. At six o’clock, the remarkable regulating mechanism – patented in 1801 – is held by a bridge with hand-polished chamfering. Its central small seconds hand skims over this prestigious piece of aerial machinery, individually numbered.

With a steel 39-millimetre case, the diameter favoured by collectors for a simplicity that lets this complication shine, the Classic Tourbillon Manufacture features a black alligator strap with a folding buckle. It will also be released in a limited edition of only 37 timepieces, exclusively available as part of The Elements set.

Highlife Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar Manufacture

Attention, collectors! The Highlife Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar Manufacture is the only piece in The Elements set that doesn’t belong to the Classic collection; the only non-mineral dial; the only watch to offer two of the biggest complications in Haute Horlogerie simultaneously, the tourbillon and perpetual calendar; the only design with a steel bracelet and two additional interchangeable options (in leather and rubber).

Modern, streamlined and vibrant, the Highlife model has been the star of the Manufacture’s collections since its return. Its high-octane design reflects a young and streetwise watchmaking, without compromising on technical excellence or finish. With a steel 41-millimetre case and a sapphire caseback, it strikes a balance between the perpetual calendar and tourbillon – both the manufacture’s own. These traditional complications are given the contemporary treatment. The openwork dial magnifies its technical nature and reveals the minerality of its self-winding FC-975 calibre, a jewel in the manufacture’s crown.

The central hour and minute markers are polished by hand and finished with a luminescent material; the seconds marker sits on the tourbillon bridge. Tucked inside the movement itself, the perpetual calendar features typically Genevan techniques: a satin finish, perlage, blued screws and black polishing. Each tourbillon, from the 37 offered only as part of The Elements set, will be individually numbered.
