Furlan Marri Reference 2116-A "Black Sector"

Furlan Marri presents its very first mechanical watch with a Swiss made self-winding movement, just over a year after brand's launch in April 2021.

The movement is a self-winding mechanism entirely produced by La JouxPerret in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. It incorporates a 68-hour power reserve, while a full tungsten oscillating weight with palladium coatingensures smooth rotation and weight distribution. All the movements will have a TOP finish, which is a high-end finish with an advanced inspection process. They are decorated with Côtes de Genève and snailing, and their oscillating weight is engraved with the words “Furlan Marri, crafted with care, designed for details” (the prototypes are without the engraved rotor).

The steel case is assembled from several parts in order to check the finishes of the angles, particularly on the cow-horn lugs, which are added to the case after the finishing operations. The lugs are connected by a bridge visible at 12 o’clock and 6 o’clock and engraved with the brand name, the model’s serial number (20202) and the production number (No. xxxxx). 

The bezel is also finished separately. The internal parts of the case are circulargrained from the underside of the bezel to the decagonal screw-down case back. The case features a polished and brushed finish on both the sides and lugs, while the crown has been polished. The crown teeth have been left unprocessed and projecting.

The decagonal screw-down case back is circular-brushed and polished and is inscribed with the brand and the model’s reference number.

The client can choose whether to wear a strap with curved or straight bars and that is why two holes made in the lugs: one positioned for a strap with curved bars (black French leather strap) and one for a strap with straight bars (caramel French leather). Each watch is supplied with both straps.

The dial is a sector-style dial and features a stamped finish achieved by electrical discharge machining to give a thin and finely grained finish. The printing is done in relief and the applied Breguet-style hour-markers are in polished steel. The hands are curved in both directions and the central arbor of the seconds hand has been sealed. The crystal is made from scratchproof sapphire crystal with five layers of anti-reflective coating and one layer of anti-fingerprint coating.

The finished watch is supplied in travel case-style packaging with the relevant certificates. Assembly, quality control and dispatch will all take place in Switzerland.

Pre-orders will be taken on the 24th of June (Time to be confirmed). The pre-order period will last for ten (10) days and we will produce the number of pieces ordered over these 10 days. The price will be CHF 1,250 excluding tax if pre-ordered. The production and shipping timeline will be shown on our website.

This particular reference with a black matte sector dial will be unique to the pre order session, therefore this reference will not be produce again. There will be new references coming in the late 2022 on a permanent collection.

This new reference marks the start of an exciting new adventure for the brand, and more surprises based on this kind of model planned for this year.
