The Pioneer Perpetual Calendar Concept MD Purple Enamel Sincere Platinum Jubilee Edition marks a first for the Pioneer collection, showcasing a "Grand Feu" enamel dial in a mesmerizing Purple fumé hue. This exquisite dial represents a harmonious fusion of tradition and innovation, meticulously crafted by master enamellers using the labour-intensive "Grand Feu" enamel technique.

The process begins with an intricate pattern engraved onto the gold base, resembling hammered metal. This textured foundation interacts beautifully with translucent pigments. Different coloured pigments are washed, finely crushed, and delicately applied one at a time with meticulous care and precision, showcasing the hallmark of artisan craftsmanship. To achieve the signature H. Moser & Cie. fumé effect, each dial undergoes multiple firings in the furnace, repeated between ten and twelve times. The date can be set at any time of day, forwards or backwards, without risking damage to the movement.

With a strikingly minimalistic design, the dial is stripped of almost all indications except for the plus and minus signs that indicate the power-reserve at 9 o’clock, an offset small second at 6 o’clock, and with a leap year cycle indicator concealed on the movement side. The partially skeletonized leaf-shaped hands are filled with Super-LumiNova® to further enhance readability.
