The stones are positioned in an invisible setting on the case middle, in a perfect double gradation: one gradient of tones to reproduce the colours of the rainbow, and another gradient of sizes to create the cushion shape of the Streamliner case. The gemstones illuminate this entirely skeletonised model, playing on the contrast between the graceful splendour of the sapphires and the very assertive aesthetics of the watchmaking mechanism.
