X QWC – Special Edition Endeavour Centre Seconds created especially for the Qatar Watch Club. With its signature focus on traditional skills, detailing, and expertise, H. Moser & Cie. is revisiting its Endeavour Centre Seconds in a completely new edition that celebrates the country and Qatari heritage in its design elements. In a 40 mm steel case with an automatic movement, the H. Moser & Cie. X QWC – Special Edition Endeavour Centre Seconds combines the classic elegance of a 3-hand watch with a perfectly balanced aesthetic and striking charisma.

The essential foundation of watchmaking, the 3-hand watch requires expertise at the very highest level, as it is the details that really elevate the piece. To be truly exceptional, the aesthetic must reach perfection, achieving a perfect balance: immaculate proportions, harmonious forms, high-end finishes, and nods to Qatari heritage and culture. The dial, of mother-of- pearl, evokes Qatar’s rich history as the centre of the pearling industry, and lends a new dynamic to the serene elegance. What H. Moser & Cie. achieves here has become its signature: revisiting a traditional art form and modernising it, to bring it into line with contemporary tastes and ensure it is not lost.

A small country located on the peninsula in the Arabian Gulf, the State of Qatar has been, since antiquity, famous as a source of high-quality pearls. Considered a luxury item, pearls were mostly owned only by royalty across the world. Harvesting of pearls was an ancient industry in Qatar and pearls from the region were traded to India, Persia, the Ottoman Empire, and to Europe and North America. The H. Moser & Cie. X QWC – Special Edition Endeavour Centre Seconds pays homage to this cultural heritage that put Qatar on the global map in the past centuries. A translucent mother- of-pearl dial carries the unique H. Moser & Cie. touch that the Schaffhausen-based manufacture is famed for – no logo or indices.

There is one more significant nod to the country that inspired this masterpiece. The number “22” appears at the 10 o’clock position, marking the year 2022 that has once again propelled the State of Qatar onto the global stage, hosting the FIFA World Cup. 2022 saw the culmination of the rapid growth and intense efforts put in by the country. The year marked the massive scaling-up of the country’s infrastructure, the inauguration of its rapid transit system in Doha – the Doha Metro, and, of course, its crowning achievement – hosting the FIFA Qatar World Cup 2022. The number is also a nod to world of football as it also marks the 22nd edition of the FIFA World Cup. A typical H. Moser & Cie. touch, with one element evoking so many associations!

At the heart of the 40 mm steel case beats the HMC 200 automatic calibre. This movement, entirely designed, developed and produced in-house, is equipped with a regulating organ manufactured by H. Moser & Cie.’s sister company, Precision Engineering AG. Decorated with the famous Moser double stripes, the calibre HMC 200 features a large, engraved oscillating weight and guarantees a power reserve of at least 3 days.

A black kudu leather strap lends the final touch of elegance to this bold cocktail: fresh, offbeat, with a truly modern sensibility. Adding versatility to the mix, the H. Moser & Cie. X QWC – Special Edition Endeavour Centre Seconds also comes with an additional alligator strap and matching steel cufflinks. The H. Moser & Cie. X QWC – Special Edition Endeavour Centre Seconds is a limited numbered edition of only 20 pieces.
