MeisterSinger Bell Hora Enamel Edition

MeisterSinger combines tradition with modern watchmaking craftsmanship: Mechanical single-hand watch in historical style with hour chime and genuine enamel dial Bell Hora Edition limited to 50 pieces, for people who appreciate the exceptional.

With its single-hand watches, MeisterSinger takes us back to the early days of watchmaking, combining traditional craftsmanship with state-of-the-art watchmaking technology in an in-comparable manner. The highly exclusive Bell Hora Edition perfectly captures this symbiosis with its carefully designed historical look, a genuine old-style enamel dial, and a sophisticated, state-of-the-art module that chimes beautifully on the hour.

Popular Bell Hora

The Bell Hora has drawn a great deal of attention due to its unusual “sonnerie au passage” chiming complication. Exactly on the hour, the Bell Hora produces a friendly chime, alerting the wearer to the passing of time without having to look at the dial. It was a natural decision for MeisterSinger to carefully choose a historical style when designing this unique edition watch, which harks back to the days of early pocket watches. The glossy white enamel dial, the fine serif typeface, the red and blue highlights, and the single hand blued by heat in an elaborate process make the Bell Hora Edition a unique visual experience.

The art of enameling

With the Bell Hora Edition, MeisterSinger is again presenting a timepiece that features a delicate material, i.e., enamel.

The manufacturing of genuine enamel dials is an ancient science in itself. Since the Middle Ages, clock dials have been enameled using a sophisticated mixture of glass-forming silicates and oxides. Today, however, only very few people still understand this elaborate, highly complex process.

Like a hand-decorated or meticulously calibrated movement, an enamel dial is a sign of the human attention to detail that distinguishes the finished product from the bulk of industrially made watches. It takes several days to finally complete the process, which means a great deal of work and almost as many rejects. Only a few of the painstakingly crafted dials are considered when finally assembling the watch.

Each enamel dial is uniquely crafted, making the Bell Hora Edition a highly coveted collector’s item.

MeisterSinger chiming module

MSBell The MS Bell automatic movement ticks inside the Bell Hora, which is fitted with the chiming module developed by MeisterSinger. The MS Bell is based on the Swiss-made Sellita SW200 movement. Over a 60-minute period, it gathers the energy it requires to produce a precise, well-dosed strike against the sound fork located behind the dial. The pusher above the crown makes sure the bell does not toll for the happy owner if not desired, as the chime can be switched off by simply pulling the pusher out. A black marking shows whether the watch is going to remain silent for the time being.
