MeisterSinger and Farreira Marques present the exclusive “Elétrico 28” Edition – A tribute to Lisbon’s iconic tram.

It’s yellow, full of character, and a beloved icon of Portugal’s capital: for decades, Lisbon’s Tram 28 has been winding its way through the city’s steep, narrow streets—passing scenic viewpoints, sharp turns, and the heart of the historic old town. With its vintage charm, signature yellow color, and unhurried pace, the tram is more than just public transport—it’s a symbol of Lisbon itself.

Inspired by this legendary tram, MeisterSinger has partnered with renowned Lisbon-based jeweler Joalharia Farreira Marques to create a truly special limited-edition watch: the Elétrico 28.

Limited to Just 28 Pieces

This exclusive edition pays homage to the famous Line 28 with just 28 individually numbered timepieces. The dial reflects the tram’s striking yellow color and is accented with subtle red highlights—a nod to the vintage vehicle’s interior design. A sleek black needle-shaped hand, typical of MeisterSinger watches, glides around the dial once every 12 hours, inviting a slower, more mindful experience of time.

The watch case is based on MeisterSinger’s classic and minimalist №03 model, featuring a balanced 40 mm diameter. A round date window is positioned above 6 o’clock.

On the back, a transparent case back reveals the reliable Swiss-made automatic movement SW200. A finely detailed drawing of Tram 28 and the watch’s unique edition number complete the design.

The Elétrico 28 comes with a high-quality gray suede leather strap—an elegant tribute to Lisbon’s cobblestone streets and the tram’s metal details and also, an additional handmade strap made of 100% Portuguese cork.

Each watch is presented in an elaborately designed special packaging. The lid features a photographic depiction of Tram 28, while the inner lining bears the embossed edition name. The set also includes a certificate confirming the uniqueness of this collaboration.

Joalharia Farreira Marques – A Place with History

This edition was developed in close collaboration with Joalharia Farreira Marques, a longestablished jeweler located in the heart of Lisbon. With its large awnings, ornate ironwork, and stained-glass windows, the Art Nouveau store exudes timeless elegance. Fun fact: the shop was even used as a filming location in the 1969 James Bond movie „On Her Majesty’s Secret Service“.

With the Elétrico 28 edition, MeisterSinger and Farreira Marques celebrate not only the joy of fine watchmaking, but also a piece of living Lisbon history.
