Perrelet expands its most iconic collection with the new “Turbine Full Lum”. A limited edition of 50 pieces with the display entirely enriched with luminescent pigments with astonishing optical effects!

Since its launch in 2009, the Turbine model has always represented a kind of 'blank canvas' for Perrelet's designers. The dial, with its see-through effect created by the rotation of the famous turbine, is a unique and privileged means of expression for the designers of the Swiss Manufacture, which has always preserved in its DNA the creative genius of its founder, Abraham-Louis Perrelet.

Its name identifies the main feature of this latest novelty. It is in fact a watch with an entirely luminescent display: the flange with the raised Arabic numerals and indices, the lower-dial and the turbine blades are coated with Super-LumiNova, emitting a green glow. With each twist of the wrist, the rotation of the Turbine generates a special luminous animation and creates surprising optical effects, which are both pleasant and playful, eye-catching and can become subject of conversation.

The turbine is a device with patented technology. Its components took years of work by the Perrelet Research & Development department. It consists of 12 black anodised aluminium blades, equipped with five tungsten counterweights that guarantee perfect balance during the rotation exerted by each wrist movement. Assembly also requires skill and knowledge, to ensure that the turbine is perfectly balanced for optimal functionality. A task masterfully performed by the Manufacture's highly skilled watchmakers.

In the “Turbine Full Lum”, the dynamic action of the turbine serves as a backdrop to the red central seconds hand, a vivid accent of colour in the sporty black-dominated habillage. The case, 44 mm in diameter, is crafted in stainless steel with black PVD treatment, which amplifies its aesthetic impact and makes it more resistant to scratches. As always, the case band is decorated with the characteristic vertical grooves, and the integrated crown at 3 o'clock bears the embossed P of the logo. The rubber strap is also personalized and fastens to the wrist with a black PVD steel pin buckle.

Mechanically the "Turbine Full Lum", is equipped with the in-house Perrelet P-331-MH calibre. Self-winding, entirely designed and manufactured in-house, it has a 42-hour power reserve and works at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour. The movement's excellent performance in terms of chronometric precision has permitted the P-331-MH calibre to obtain the Chronofiable® certification issued by Laboratoire Dubois based in La Chaux-de-Fonds and the prestigious COSC-chronometer certification.

Thanks to the sapphire crystal porthole on the case back, connoisseurs of the art of watchmaking can admire the refined finish of the bridges and the rhodium-plated, open-worked oscillating weight personalised with the Perrelet logo.

An authentic talking piece, the “Turbine Full Lum” will appeal to enthusiasts and collectors in search of original and unusual timepieces. The exclusivity of this creation is further emphasized by the inscription "Limited Edition XX/50," which individually numbers each model in this series.
