Perrelet "Weekend" Green Dial Collection

Perrelet, the independent Swiss brand founded by Abraham-Louis Perrelet in 1777, the master watchmaker who first had the idea of conceiving the automatic movement, presents new proposals in its "Weekend" collection.

This line of men's dress watches, first launched in 2019 and followed by a second edition in 2020, is characterised by a timeless design with a touch of retro yet contemporary interpretation. A collection with a more classic aesthetics that joins the more iconic and sporty Turbine family and the more recent range of LAB models, sporting a casual-chic look.

While previous models boasted more traditional dial colours such as silver, blue and black, for 2023 Perrelet refreshes the “Weekend” collection with a new display colouring, now coming in bright grass green.

Green is the colour commonly associated with nature, infuses a feeling of serenity, reduces mental stress and evokes harmony and balance. A strong and powerful colour, impossible to get unnoticed, green is the hue chosen by Perrelet for the latest additions to its "Weekend" range which revamps its dials with this modern and trendy shade. A collection that is intended to offer watch enthusiasts one more choice to complement their out-fit or to allow them to dare with timepieces distinguished by a less conservative tone.

The 'Weekend' line includes three models: the “3-Hands”, a time-only watch in its function, the “GMT” model for globetrotters and the” 3-Hands Open Heart” with its view of the balance wheel at 6 o’clock, enabling micromechanics’ lovers to admire the beating heart of the movement.

This collection is characterised by a refined 39 mm round case with a slim profile, a size that fits comfortably even on small wrists. Crafted in stainless steel and also available in 4N PVD-coated steel to obtain a rose gold hue, the case is water-resistant to 5 atm.

The “Weekend GMT” is a user-friendly travelling companion allowing two time zones to be displayed at the same time. Thanks to its intuitive lay-out and 24-hour scale, consulting local and home time is very simple. The 24-hour scale in the central section, composed of Arabic numerals and square markers, is indicated by a hand with a red triangular tip. The central ring is underscored with a darker green tone, ensuring that consulting home time while you’re travelling is effortless. Enhancing its user-friendliness, all the functions, including setting the GMT hand, are adjusted at the crown.

The new domed displays boast an elegant satin-brushed finish further enhanced with a sunray decoration emanating from the centre of the dial. The central baton-style hour indices are applied to the dial. At the cardinal points, the indices feature double markers and are silver or gold-coloured, depending on the case. Protected by an anti-reflective sapphire crystal, the dials of the “Weekend 3-Hands” and “Weekend GMT” models also have a date window at 3 o’clock.

These new creations are all equipped with in-house automatic movements, beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour and offering a 42-hour power reserve. The calibre P-321 powers the 'Weekend 3-Hands' model, the calibre P-391 the 'Weekend 3-Hands Open-Heart' version while the calibre P-401 ensures the functioning of the 'Weekend GMT”.

The case back is sealed with six screws with a transparent porthole to admire the refined circular graining decoration on the bridges and the rhodium-plated oscillating weight customised with the logo of the Swiss Maison.

All three versions are complemented by a black calfskin strap with alligator pattern and a pin buckle embellished with the Perrelet logo matching the case versions. The steel case variants can also be combined with a comfortable and ergonomic bracelet composed of 7 links per row with alternating polished and brushed finishes, giving the watches a more casual look.
