Pre-SIHH 2018: Cartier - Rotonde de Cartier Mysterious Day and Night

Cartier presented a preview of the novelties that will be presenting at SIHH 2018 (Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie, Geneva, 15-19 January 2018): the Rotonde de Cartier Mysterious Day and Night.

This new model will be available in a 40 mm pink gold or white gold case with the typical Cartier sapphire cabochon crown.

The dial is split in two. The upper part displays the hour and the day/night indicators, one depicting the sun and the other depicting the moon, while they slowly move along a 12-hour scale graduated from six to six. In the lower part, a single blued steel hand shows the minutes on a retrograde display.

The central section is decorated by a radiating guilloché while the outer background is enhanced by a brown sunburst finish.

The Rotonde de Cartier Mysterious Day and Night is powered by the manufacture Calibre 9982 MC. Composed of 174 components, including 26 jewels, this hand-wound movement beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour and offers 48 hours of power reserve.

The retail price of the Cartier Rotonde de Cartier Mysterious Day and Night will be around Euro 60,000 / US$ 63,000. cartier.com
