Pre-SIHH 2018: Hermès - Arceau Chrono Titane

In 2018, the central aisles of the 28th Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (Geneva, 15-19 January) will be extended to welcome Hermès among the exhibiting Maisons

As usual for the exhibitors of the Geneva event, Hermès is now presenting a preview of the novelties that they will showcase at SIHH 2018.

The new Arceau Chrono Titane is the latest interpretation of a model that was created in 1978 by
Henri d’Origny, the legendary artistic director of the Maison. The round case of the watch was associated with asymmetrical lugs featuring a shape inspired by stirrups along with a dial characterized by a distinctive and singular font.

Since then, the line has been interpreted through many evolutions and variations while respecting the original spirit.

Equipped with a chronograph function and water resistant to 30 metres / 100 feet, the new timepiece comes in a 41 mm bead blasted titanium case which houses a self-winding mechanical movement beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and offering 42 hours of power reserve.

The contrast between the galvanic black background and the white transferred Arabic numerals and minute circle makes the dial easily readable. The red accents enhances the sporty look of the watch.

This two-pusher chronograph indicates central hours and minutes, seconds in a subdial at 3 o’clock, chronograph seconds hand in the centre, 30-minute chronograph counter at 9 o’clock and 12-hour chronograph counter at 6 o’clock. The date is displayed between 4 and 5 o’clock.

Available from March 2018, the new Hermès Arceau Chrono Titane will have a price of Euro 4,200. hermes.com
