With Mark II, Reservoir takes a new step in asserting its identity. For the first time, the watchmaker is extending its design standards, historically focused on complications, to the watch as a whole, from the case to the integrated bracelet.

The genesis of a new design

Since its creation, Reservoir has been built around a simple yet radical idea: reinventing the way time is displayed by drawing inspiration from the world of measuring instruments. Automotive counters, industrial gauges, and aeronautical instruments have inspired bold, graphic, and instantly evocative dials. These dials, true visual signatures, have always concentrated the essence of the brand’s stylistic expression.

In this spirit, the rest of the watch was deliberately kept understated: a sober case, a discreet strap, balanced finishes. The objective was clear, to leave full space to the dial’s narrative power.

Today, Reservoir opens a new chapter.

With Mark II, the brand set out to create a watch architecture capable of existing in its own right. A design recognizable at first glance. A silhouette that no longer simply complements the dial, but fully contributes to the identity of the piece.

Like certain timepieces that have become icons in the history of watchmaking, Mark II was born from the desire to create a shape that is immediately identifiable on a collector’s wrist. A watch whose presence is felt even before its details can be distinguished.

A bold technical aesthetic

Conceived to fit within the technical aesthetic of the “Mechanics” collections, the Mark II design asserts a powerful geometric language. Its case is built around a succession of angles and facets, whose architecture subtly evokes the world of mechanics.

This angular construction is punctuated by numerous visible screws, recalling the mechanical and industrial universe of the instruments that have inspired Reservoir since its origins.

Attention to detail

Light plays an essential role in the perception of this new watch. Satin-brushed surfaces interact with polished sections, creating a subtle contrast that highlights the complexity of the volumes. The multiple angles of the case and bracelet capture light differently with each movement of the wrist, giving the piece a vibrant and ever-changing presence, often charged with emotion.

This attention to detail is reflected in every element of the watch. The crown, buckle, and caseback have been specifically redesigned to complement this new aesthetic language. All bear the brand’s logo and contribute to the overall harmony of the design.
