Roger Dubuis - Excalibur Aventador S

Roger Dubuis and Lamborghini have recently signed a partnership whose first output is a new calibre inspired by the Aventador S engine and two timepieces - one with yellow and the other with orange accents - crafted from high-tech materials.

The new Excalibur Aventador S is available in two limited editions: 88 pieces in Lamborghini “Giallo Orion” yellow and 8 in Lamborghini “Arancio Argos” orange. Both feature a 45 mm case where titanium is combined to multi-layered carbon in case of the yellow version or C-SMC carbon for the even more exclusive orange model. This latter material is the same that is used for Lamborghini cars.

The readability of the skeleton dial is enhanced by the Super-LumiNova treatment used for the hour markers and the tips of the hours and minutes hands. The jumping seconds hand is painted in yellow or orange depending on the model.

The Excalibur Aventador S is powered by the specially developed hand-wound Duotor calibre, whose design reflects this automobile alliance. Featuring 90° double sprung balances linked with a differential, this outstanding calibre works at a 2 x 4 Hz frequency (57’600 vph) delivering better resistance to gravity effects and therefore a higher precision.

The 312 components are meticulously hand-finished in accordance with the quality criteria governing the "Poinçon de Genève" certification. The movement offers a power reserve of 40 hours.

The Roger Dubuis Excalibur Aventador S is completed by bi-material straps with black rubber base and black rubber-tech inlay. Prices: Euro 214,000 in yellow, Euro 237,000 in orange. rogerdubuis.com
