SIAR 2025 - Hublot Big Bang Unico Calavera All Black

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of its iconic Big Bang, Hublot hosted an exclusive event in Mexico City, gathering leading figures from the worlds of watchmaking, fashion, sports, and culture.

The celebration also featured the renowned pop culture icon Belinda, Mexican singer, actress, and Hublot Friend of the Brand, who was recently seen in Mentiras All Stars and will soon appear on screen as Princess Charlotte of Belgium. Special guests for this milestone occasion included Ana de la Reguera and Iván Amozurrutia, along with other distinguished personalities, all sharing their excitement for this significant moment in luxury watchmaking

Hublot has chosen to mark the occasion by unveiling a very limited series of 100 pieces, the Big Bang Unico Calavera All Black which, for the first time, features a sapphire dial with a skull on its surface. The 42mm watch features a sapphire dial with a stylized skull motif, creating a subtle interplay of light and dark between the case and the Unico in-house movement. At 9 o'clock, a special animation for the Big Bang Unico Calavera All Black can be observed with left eye of the skull figure constantly rotating, in the position of the small second’s dial.

The timepiece retains the DNA of the Big Bang: two large luminous hands for the hours and minutes, the 60-minute counter at 3 o'clock, and the skeletonised date, also at 3 o'clock. The timepiece is dressed in shades of black and grey and will become a new addition to the limited edition All Black series, whose models have marked the life of the Big Bang since 2006.

As is customary for Hublot, several materials have been used to prepare the Big Bang Unico Calavera All Black for the rigours of everyday life. The screws and pushers are made of titanium. The case back is ceramic. The crown is made of black PVD titanium overmoulded with rubber. The strap is exclusive to this model, combining calfskin and rubber with an embossed skull motif. The timepiece also comes with an additional textured black rubber strap, finished with a titanium and ceramic folding clasp. Brimming with state-of-the-art technology, this watch is presented in a gift box featuring a stylised skull design on the front and specially designed for this individually numbered anniversary piece.

The Big Bang embodies the very spirit of Hublot: daring to challenge the status quo and redefining modern watchmaking through the ‘Art of Fusion.’ Since 2005, it has introduced breakthroughs in its in-house movements and materials, becoming a platform for complications and creative collaborations alike. Today, as we celebrate its 20th anniversary as an icon, we honor its legacy while looking ahead to the future," said Julien Tornare, CEO of Hublot.

Mexico is a dynamic market with a growing community of collectors who truly appreciate Hublot’s bold approach. The SIAR provides a unique stage to celebrate this connection, showcase our latest creations, and reinforce our long-term commitment to the region," added David Tedeschi, Managing Director Middle East, Africa, India, and Latin America.

Hublot CEO, Julien Tornare, hosted the party to celebrate with all the guests and highlighted the importance of the Big Bang as a model that, since its debut in 2005, has become a true statement of innovation, design, and style within fine watchmaking industry. With special editions marking milestones across sport, art, and fashion, the Big Bang continues to reinvent itself without losing its identity.

On this night, Hublot paid tribute to two decades of the Big Bang, reaffirming its bold, innovative, and visionary spirit, which continues to inspire Hublotistas, collectors, and watch enthusiasts worldwide.

Big Bang 20th Anniversary – A Celebration of the Big Bang Revolutionary Mindset

In 2005 the Big Bang marked the advent of a new era in watchmaking, more closely attuned than ever to the privileges of its name. Few timepieces have transformed contemporary watchmaking like the Big Bang. Twenty years after its launch, it remains the incarnation of a Manufacture that constantly pushes the boundaries of the unknown. Through exclusive materials and in-house movements, led by the Unico and the Meca-10, the Big Bang breaks with tradition —a notion it has never completely embraced. Singular for its bold aesthetic, plural for its versatility, this is the Big Bang.
