TAG Heuer Aston Martin Special Edition Chronographs

On occasion of the International Geneva Motor Show, TAG Heuer and Aston Martin announced the partnership between the two luxury brands. TAG Heuer has also been appointed Official Partner for Aston Martin Racing, marking the watch brand big comeback to the World Endurance Championship.

The Swiss watchmaking brand unveiled two watches honouring Aston Martin and Aston Martin Racing: the Carrera Heuer 01, inspired by the geometric shapes specific to Aston Martin's sports cars, and the sporty Formula 1 adopting Aston Martin Racing's lime essence colour.

The first model features a manufacture chronograph movement, the automatic Calibre Heuer 01, visible through the dial, skeletonized in a hexagonal pattern that recalls the details on the new Aston Martin Vantage.

Featuring a black ceramic tachymeter bezel, the sturdy 45 mm solid steel case also presents a design that was specifically developed for this edition, with lines on the caseband to emphasize the motor racing DNA.

The shape of the lugs has been revisited, taking inspiration from the lines of Aston Martin's bodywork. The matte black rubber and leather strap is enriched by a special embossing and is secured by steel folding clasp with double safety push-buttons.

Water resistant to 100 meters / 330 feet, the TAG Heuer Carrera Heuer 01 Aston Martin (ref. CAR2A1AB.FT6163) has a price of Swiss Francs 6,300 / Euro 5,900.

The second model, the TAG Heuer Formula 1 chronograph, features a 43 mm stainless steel case with a notched steel bezel and an aluminium ring with a tachymeter scale. Water resistant to 200 metres / 660 feet, this sporty case frames a black opaline dial on which indexes, seconds hand and the Aston Martin's famous winged logo stand out thanks to their shade of lime essence, Aston Martin Racing's typical colour. The black gold plated polished hour and minute hands and indexes are treated with grey Super-LumiNova.

Its quartz movement is accurate to a tenth of a second, displayed on the small counter at 6 o'clock. The minute counter and the current seconds counter are positioned at 9 o'clock and 3 o'clock respectively.
