Trilobe Nuit Fantastique: Ombre & Lumière

Trilobe unveils its latest creations Nuit Fantastique, Ombre and Lumière. On these models, our iconic grained dial is adorned with two complementary shades: black and white. The Ombre and Lumière editions pay tribute to the ambivalence of Trilobe’s design, being both audacious and timeless.

Inspired from Art Brut

With these new editions, Trilobe explores the Art Brut (Outsider Art) movement. Pioneer of this disruptive art outside traditional artistic boundaries, Jean Dubuffet liked to transgress norms, challenge classical representations and disrupt the culture of his time. The artist succeeded in creating tension and energy in his work through the interplay of juxtaposed colours, bringing dynamism to his compositions by “making light emerge from the shadow”.

Trilobe, a conceptual reversal

It’s 12 hours, 15 minutes and 40 seconds.

Yesterday, time was frozen under rotating hands. With the Trilobe watch, time starts moving. Three rotating rings rush forward, carrying with them the scales of time: the largest ring for the hours; the minutes wheel that appears within an aperture and the seconds wheel, which alternates between a «Clous de Paris» centre and an azured ring.

The choice of difference

Trilobe expands its Nuit Fantastique collection with two contrasting editions, letting form and movement dominate. The visual tension generated by this black and white duality highlights the passage of time and emphasizes the Maison’s unique display embodied by its three iconic rings (Hours, Minutes, Seconds).

Jean Dubuffet’s poetic vein and pronounced taste for literature emerge in the titles of his work. Trilobe's creations «Ombre» and «Lumière» pay tribute to him.

The X-Centric Calibre, automatic movement and hallmark of the brand

Nuit Fantastique is equipped with the X-Centric calibre, a signature automatic movement developed exclusively for Trilobe. Mirror of the brand identity, this calibre enhances architectural geometry: a contemporary distinction with a refined design. Its harmony brings refinement and modernity to the collection. Integrated into the X-Centric calibre, the 5.78 mm thick micro-rotor movement combines finesse and technical performance.

The Nuit Fantastique Ombre & Nuit Fantastique Lumière models are available in two sizes: 40.5 mm and 38.5 mm.
