The retail expansion project of the brand from Lucca, Tuscany continues with the opening of the US branch and the first flagship store on Madison Avenue. The U-BOAT American Corporation, will handle the whole-sale distribution of the "stars and stripes” market with an office in the Big Apple and a network of officers operating in the area. To celebrate the opening a limited edition watch of only one piece 1 of 1 dedicated to the city but declined in bronze and silver.

Another important step, another dream that comes true for the Italo Fontana watch brand: to cross the ocean and bring the highly recognisable design of his creations and the "Made in Tuscany" craftsmanship to the new world, planting here its own flag.

An ambitious development project, which leads the brand to set up a dedicated company, the U-BOAT American Corporation, part of the U-BOAT GROUP holding, for the management of distribution in the States, with the support of a network of officials dedicated to its expansion on American / Canadian area; and of a stock specifically produced for this market.

In order to confirm the commitment and the successful steps achieved so far, the opening of the first mono-branded store in one of the most prestigious streets in Manhattan, Madison Avenue. Also nicknamed "Italian mile" for the high concentration of shops and showcases of Italian designers, is one of the main arteries of the Upper East Side, synonymous with wealth and luxury also considered the Gold Coast of high-spending shopping.

Just at number 535 of Madison Avenue, at the intersection with 54th Street, Italo Fontana cuts the ribbon of the new boutique and brings a piece of Tuscany to America as well as of Italian style, breathing that touch of identity, familiarity and craftsmanship, all topics that have distinguished his creations over time, made him famous in the world.

For this purpose and to celebrate this opening, U-BOAT has created a limited edition watch of only one piece 1 of 1 dedicated to the city but declined in the two versions: in silver and bronze both naturally aged and untreated.

The 45 mm case, available in the two materials, has been finely engraved by hand to reproduce in relief, on one side the famous Brooklyn bridge, on the other the skyline and the Empire State Building. The Statue of Liberty is laser engraved on the screw-down case-back, while the iconic crown on the left side is set with a huge rose-cut black diamond with a carat weight of between 1.30 and 2.00 in both versions.

Under the high-quality sapphire crystal, the two dials respectively in bronze and pure 925 silver, with indexes and numbers in relief, show the name of New York in the center and the word 1 of 1 at 9 o'clock to testify the extreme exclusivity and rarity of these two masterpieces of fine goldsmith work as well as watchmaking.
