Union Glashütte - Noramis Chronograph Sport

In 2021, Union Glashütte unveiled the first water sports watch in its classic Noramis line, combining sporting functionality with retro charm. Now the line is getting a fascinating update through the addition of three sporty-looking chronograph designs, available in blue, anthracite and turquoise.

The colour of the dégradé dials shifts – as with the three-handed variants – from light in the centre to dark on the outer edges. The chronographs capture the refined retro details of the line: Pump push-buttons, highly rounded crystal made from scratch-resistant sapphire and a unidirectionally rotating ceramic bezel. The totalisers on the chronograph are positioned at 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock.

Even on the new chronograph variant, the dial is lightly rounded. This really accentuates the colour gradient in each of the watches, lending them a new radiance in different lights. The triangular hands are polished and satin-finished. For better readability underwater, the markers and the tips of the hands are also coated with Super-LumiNova®. The two embedded totalisers at 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock are set in silver for clearer and faster readability. The date display is located in the totaliser at 9 o'clock, as is characteristic of the Noramis line.

The polished case and the satin-finished sides of the Noramis Chronograph Sport add a sporting flourish to the classical elegance of the watch. The crown is screwed. The screwed case back in sapphire crystal reveals a glimpse of the UNG-27.S2 calibre – an elaborate movement with a silicon balance spring and boasting a power reserve of more than 65 hours. With a diameter of 43 mm, the chronograph follows the downsizing trend and fits on lots of different wrists.

The colour gradients of the dials are further emphasised by different exchangeable straps. The blue version comes with a blue rubber strap with bracelet double fold fastener, whilst the two other versions are available with a black or grey textile strap.

The Noramis Chronograph Sport is water-resistant up to a pressure of 20 bar (200 metres) and is available from retail outlets for €3,600 (recommended retail price) in each of the designs.
