W&W 2022 Patek Philippe Annual Calendar Ref. 5205R-011

The Annual Calendar reference 5205 with day/date/month apertures arranged along an arc was launched in 2010 in two white gold versions. Since 2013, it has been offered in rose gold with a white opaline or black-lacquered dial. Patek Philippe is revisiting this model in an original and contemporary hue.

The case is distinguished by its concave bezel, recessed flanks and skeletonized lugs, forming a refined structure entirely hand-polished by the Manufacture’s artisans.

The olive green dial is enlivened by a sunburst decoration and a black-gradient rim. The three day/date/month apertures in the upper part ensure that the Annual Calendar indications are perfectly legible, with a rose gold frame at 12 o’clock highlighting the most important information, the date.

The dauphine hands and applied hour markers in faceted rose gold are complemented by a circular-grained minute track. The rose-gilt circular zones on the dial center, along with the subdial rim at 6 o’clock with 24-hour indication and moon-phase aperture, are finely recessed.

The sapphire crystal case back reveals the self-winding 324 S QA LU 24H caliber with its ingenious patented Patek Philippe Annual Calendar mechanism, which requires only one manual correction per year at the end of February. Displayed by a leaf-shaped hand, the 24-hour indication in the subdial at 6 o’clock enables precise calendar adjustment.

The two-tone hand-patinated olive green alligator leather strap with rose gold prong buckle harmoniously matches the dial.

The new Reference 5205R-011 joins the existing gold Reference 5205G-013 featuring a dial in blue with black-gradient rim and replaces the previous rose gold versions.
