YEMA Navygraf French Submarine Forces

In order to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the FOST (Strategic Oceanic Force), a new Navygraf model was developed with the French Navy, inspired by the needs of the main naval component of the submarine forces. The Navygraf FSM incorporates the same characteristics as the Navygraf Héritage model with its in-house Caliber YEMA2000, but its dial and indexes are inspired by the Navygraf II dating from the mid-1970s. on the crown as well as the mention “50 ANS DE LA FOST” and the logo of the submarine forces on the case back. 

Strategic Oceanic Force (FOST) 50th Anniversary

Created on March 1st, 1972 the Strategic Oceanic Force (FOST) is the key naval component of Marine Nationale's Submarine Forces, made up of 4,000 sailors, military and civilians, who operate 4 ballistic missile nuclear submarines (SNLE), 6 nuclear attack submarines (SNA) and units providing their command and support.

The Marine Nationale (French Navy) was created in 1626 and looks after the world’s second largest maritime space after that of the United States. It operates a wide range of fighting vessels, aeronaval forces, submarines, frigates, patrol boats and support ships. YEMA is the Official Partner of the French Navy and is proud to release the Marine Nationale official collection available to both army personnel and the general public.

"Phantom" dial & "Night mode" seconds hands

At the request of Marine Nationale military staff, all inscriptions of the Navygraf FSM have been darkened to blend almost completely with the dial, the concepts of stealth and discretion being an integral part of Marine Nationale's Strategic Oceanic Force values. The red seconds hand is linked to the red light used inside nuclear submarines during the night.

The scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and bezel offer a glossy and high-quality finish to this military timepiece.

The 316L stainless steel band with secure lock comes with a diver's extension so it can be easily adjusted over a diving suit.

The hands, dial and bezel markers are treated with Swiss Super-LumiNova® C1 so as to offer perfect readability in low light conditions.

Submarine Forces dial

The bronze case hue is found as well in the dial's Navygraf mention, the indexes and watch hands while the black dial is reminiscent of FOST's nuclear submarines' hulls.

The FORCES SOUS-MARINES curved mention at 6 o'clock and the indexes in the shape of "exclamation points" are inspired by the 1970s Navygraf vintage model. Finally, the fine red tip of the seconds hand brings a touch of colour that is both elegant and functional.

Designed by and for NAVY Submarine crew

Beyond its striking aesthetics, the Navygraf FSM Bronze is above all a military-grade tool watch designed in collaboration with Marine Nationale Submarine Forces built to military personnel specifications and strict requirements. 

Oversized double-domed sapphire crystal

The Navygraf FSM Bronze has a 3.00mm thick double-domed sapphire crystal, offering better readability, increased resistance and a resolutely vintage look.

YEMA2000 in-house caliber "No-Date"

Yema's second-generation In-house Caliber YEMA2000 is powered by optimised components yielding slightly better performance than similar Standard Grade calibers offering a Daily Rate of +/- 10 s/d and a power reserve of 42h. This new YEMA2000 "No-Date" version has no date or phantom date position on the crown.

Yema Tropic strap

Inspired by the 1960s Tropic straps and designed for diving enthusiasts, the YEMA Tropic strap is made from Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU).
