Prix artmonte-carlo - F.P.Journe 2024

The Prix artmonte-carlo - F.P.Journe awarded to Anna Boghiguian, represented by Galleria Franco Noero, for "Untitled 2023".

The 8th edition of artmonte-carlo took place on 6 and 7 July 2024 at the Grimaldi Forum Monaco, under the High Patronage of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco, bringing together 27 international galleries and featuring over 200 creators of modern and contemporary art.

Among the participating galleries were prestigious names such as Perrotin, Hauser & Wirth and Almine Rech, as well as new comers including Lisson Gallery and Lelong & Co. The 2024 edition also show case drecent collaborations with Monaco's cultural institutions, such as the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation and the Princess Grace Theatre. Visitors were able to discover numerous works and take part in unique artistic experiences, among them "Monaco Mobile" by Luciano Chessa and "LesImprévus-FLY" by the Pavillon Bosio. In addition, they were able to enjoy Monaco Art Week, an exhibition dedicated to the British artist Turner, produced in collaboration with TATE London, as well as installations devoted to Miquel Barceló and Pier Paolo Pasolini at the Nouveau Musée National de Monaco (NMNM).

On July 5, during the opening ceremony, the Prix artmonte-carlo F.P.Journe was awarded to Anna Boghiguian, represented by Galleria Franco Noero, for "Untitled 2023". The prize, which recognises the best exhibition at the fair, was determined by a panel of experts including Björn Dahlström (Director of the NMNM), Francesco Manacorda (Director of the Castello di Rivoli) and Meriem Berrada (Artistic Director of the Al Maaden Museum of Contemporary African Art). The winning work will be donated by F.P.Journe to the Nouveau Musée National de Monaco.
