Urwerk UR-210Y "Black Hawk"

The new Urwerk UR-210Y "Black Hawk" is an eye catcher with its fascinating satellite complication display with wandering hour and lighting fast retrograde minute indicator.

The three-dimensional retrograde minute hand encloses the hour satellite and indicates the time as it transverses the 0-to-60-minute scale which traces an arc of 120°. At the end of the 59th minute, the minute hand returns to its starting point in less than 0.1 of a second.

At 1 o'clock we find a traditional power reserve indication while the indicator at 11 o'clock indicates the winding efficiency over the last two hours. If the indicator points to the red zone, there is more usage than generation of energy.

In such case, it is possible to position the winding efficiency selector at the back of the watch to “full” to better match the daily rhythm. The rotor will then convert the slightest movement into stored energy. In the opposite case, the owner can position the efficiency selector to “reduce” to engage an air turbine compressor mounted on ruby bearings which spins and creates internal resistance to slow down or dampen the automatic winding rotor. In “stop” mode, the automatic winding system is disabled completely and requires manual winding.

This advanced winding system well reflects the goal of Felix Baumgartner and Martin Frei, the Urwerk founders, of creating watches which is possible to interact with.

The case is made of high-tech titanium and AlTiN-treated steel, which increases resistance to scratches and acids. When you handle the UR-210Y "Black Hawk" you are immediately impressed by the outstanding finishing quality which meets the highest standards.

Dimensions are: width 43.8mm, length 53.6mm, thickness 17.8mm. The UR-7.10 movement beats at 28,800 vph and offers a power reserve of 39 hours.

Equipped with a black fabric strap, the Urwerk UR-210Y "Black Hawk" is a limited edition of 75 pieces.
