Universal Genève

Universal Genève hosted two days of festivities to mark the 70th anniversary of the Polerouter watch and the first-ever commercial transpolar flight by Scandinavian Airlines System (SAS) from Copenhagen to California. Events included the unveiling of three tribute timepieces and a message from Evelyne Genta, the widow of the legendary watch designer, Gérald Genta, who created the Polerouter in 1954.

In honor of the 70th anniversary of the first Scandinavian Airlines System (SAS) flight over the North Pole from Copenhagen to Los Angeles in 1954, Universal Genève is releasing three special tribute Polerouter SAS watches ahead of the storied brand’s revival in 2026.
